We love to explore and seek adventure every where we go. Albert Einstein described PLAY as the best form of LEARNING. I am a firm believer that nurturing a creative mind helps us to see the unimaginable in the ordinary and brings to light the dreamer in all of us. 

 Don't make them live in our world. It's more fun to live in theirs.

Parks and Playgrounds
We are super lucky to be surrounded by so many beautiful parks in the suburbs of Atlanta! We love playgrounds, jogging trails, skate parks, dog park areas, feeding the fish and turtles at the lakes, and even hunting for dinosaurs! There are 9 dinosaurs hidden around the Gwinnett Country Parks.

 Atlanta BeltLine
Parks, greenspace, trails, art, culture, dining, and more are a vibrant part of the Atlanta BeltLine.

 Rockin Jump
Rockin Jump indoor trampoline park hosts Rockin' Tots on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 9-11. The cost is $15 for mommy and me jump time! Learn more here.

 Southeastern Railway Museum
The second Thursday of every month, the Southeastern Railway Museum hosts a themed Preschool Program event. Explore trains and vehicles, participate in arts/crafts and story time, ride on trains, and more! Click here to view the event calendar.

 Hudgens Center for Art & Learning
Toddler Friday takes place from 10:30am-12:00pm on the last Friday of every month. The program is led by retired Art Educator Deanna Dodd. Children ages 1-4 enjoy story time, music, sensory activities, and a hands-on art project. Click to learn more.

 Bella Blue Boutique
Bella Blue is an adorable children's clothing boutique in Suwanee. Join Bella Blue for themed story, craft, and snack time on the third Friday of every month at 10:30am. All books and themes are listed on their Facebook events page here.

Protein Pumpkin Muffins

Happy National Pumpkin Day! This week the kids and I made the very best batch of pumpkin muffins ever! The best part, they are a bit healthier than your average muffin and taste super delicious! So, of course I'm gonna share our recipe. We started with fresh pumpkin! My son's 2nd grade class did a huge STEM Project using pumpkins. I volunteer in his class and since I'm Room Mom, I just couldn't help myself. I cut the meat away from underneath the stalks and had plenty of pumpkin to make several batches for his teacher and classmates.   First, rinse your pumpkin really well and boil it on medium-high heat for about 20 minutes or until soft. Use a strainer to drain the pumpkin really well. You may want to let it sit for about 15 minutes so it can continue to drain. Then, using an electric beater, beat the pumpkin until smooth and pureed. INGREDIENTS: 1 3/4 whole wheat flour 3 scoops Muscle Milk Vanilla Protein Powder 1/3 cup cane sugar 1/4 cup light brown
